“ I dined In twice and ordered take out once during my latest stay in Chillicothe. Great food for a decent price. During my first dine-in experience, the waitress / bartender was extremely helpful. She gave great tips and answered all our questions about the menu. Food was good and fast to the table. Second time that we dined in we had a large party. We had the same waitress / bartender. She was the only one working the floor. Even though she was alone and busy she kept a very good attitude and sense of humor. I didn't try anything that I didn't like. Their tenderloins are delicious. I definitely recommend their horseshoe as well. Luckily when I visit from Colorado I have a few go to spots in Chillicothe. Castaways will always be one of them. ”

“ We stopped in on Labor Day after the parade in Peoria. The staff was expecting a quiet day. Little did they know they would be descended upon by 17 bikers at lunchtime as well as a local crowd. The staff kept right up taking orders and delivering food in a timely fashion all the while maintaining pleasantness and composure. Bravo to them. I had the Cuban sandwich which I would highly recommend. Pulled pork and ham slices on a ciabatta bun with spicy mustard sauce on the side. It was delicious and must have weighed a pound. We shared the homemade (not frozen from a bag and you can certainly taste the difference) breaded mushrooms. These are thinly sliced portions rather than whole mushrooms so they are extra crispy and you receive a very large portion. Both the bar area and dining area are clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend Castaways. ”
